Giving Hope to Families in Need
Giving Page for Duke Lacrosse
Hello family, friends, and supporters of Duke Lacrosse,
Thank you so much for supporting a cause that that has captured our team's attention and devotion, as it serves sick children and their families. Our team and coaches have become extremely involved in the House, preparing and serving monthly dinners, playing and interacting with the kids, and volunteering at fundraising events. The mission of the Ronald McDonald House of Durham is to support
families of critically ill children who have had to travel from other
cities, states and countries to receive medical treatment at Duke.
The House currently has 29 rooms and suites and serves over 1200 families a year, but turns away over 700 due to lack of space. This fall, the House will finalize construction to add an addition that will grow their capacity from 29 to 55 rooms and suites. Your donation will be used to help cover the cost of this necessary expansion and help the Ronald McDonald House of Durham grow to serve more families as their "home away from home".
Thank you for your support,
The Duke Lacrosse Team
"It is great
to have support because everyone’s going through something similar,
something life changing, and the support has been great from families
and staff at the Ronald McDonald House."
~Tisha, mom of Lauryn, age nine months old
The Duke Lacrosse team will raise between $25,000-$50,000 to adopt space in the new addition or existing renovated House. Even if you choose one of the levels in the drop down box, you will still need to type that same amount in the "Donation Amount" box.
